What a beautiful thing to have in your family. I was hoping that it may have belonged to my Halliwells but sadly not. Thank you for sharing.

Brilliant,never let that Bible out of your Family,it's a one off.Tell all your Family to pass it down.Are you by any chance related to Terry Halliwel went to Spring View School with me 1959-1963 .He is on Class & Rugby Team.Class 1961/2 Rugby 1962 .Cant remember but did he live in Kay's Houses.

Jimmy, this is treasured by all our family it is in the safe keeping of my cousin who treasures it. She brought it while I photographed some of the pages because I thought it would be of interest to Wigan World members. I have already put photographs on here of my Great Grandparents.As far as I know he is no relation to us could well be distant but not that I know of. Glad you were interested. Anne

Anne, if you view #32825 (Baptism Card) I have made a comment about our Family Bible. Passed down from Father to Son, ours is the dated 1858 (2nd reprint). The front cover is a different style to your photograph, with "Holy Bible with illustrations" emblazon in the centre around a pattern of leaves.
