Bill Rostron never did any bragging about the wagons he
drove most drivers could run rings around him.D.C.
Not sure about that. He used to take pleasure in turning in an hour after the rest of wagon drivers had turned out. Then catching them up and beating them to fuel pump at the end of there days work. Then that would be about 4 30pm. HGV drivers would jump through hoops to have a 8hr day with a very decent wage today!

brother were not driving then Bank's were paying more money
at the time I worked 22 years for Bank's as a Driver Fitter
it was a well paid job .D.C.
