More Wigan interest and intrigue.1920,The company origin, £600,000 capital in £1 shares
yet this certificate shows 20,000 shares at 10 shillings per share paid.

The company had a chequered history. Voluntary liquidation in 1920 then liquidation in 1931 and 1941.
The balance of the share price, as shown on the certificate, would be logged on the reverse as the payments were made. £600,000 In 1920 would be worth £60 million today.
