These Guiders were at a party for Ethel Woodward's retirement from Guiding on 12th March 1986.
Ethel had run St. James' Poolstock Brownies for many years.
These kind ladies (and many more like them) volunteered many hours of their time to plan and organise meetings, marches, trainings and fun events for the Brownies and Guides of Wigan.
The party took place at Worsley Mesnes Primary School, Kipling Avenue.

In the fourth picture I think I can see Ethel Woodward( lovely lady and happy memories from Worsley Mesnes brownies) and Hilda Hazelden.
Cathy are you related to Gwendoline Bolton ?

Hi Cathy , no I don't know anyone else on the pic, I worked with Lovely Maureen for 20 yrs , I still see from time to time , how are you and John keeping , well I hope ,
