this is me learning how to pull a good pint with mum keeping an eye on me aged about 10yrs old, when beer was beer, and pubs, where pubs, the photo was taken well before the pub was altered in the 60s.

What a lovely photo of a vanished world! No "health-and-safety" breathing down our necks, and no-one came to any harm anyway. A lovely, homely photo of times past. Thankyou for posting.

Used to go in in 1971 to watch Frank Smith and his band - I forget what they were called now.

Graham, a friend of mine now runs the Bath Springs.. I've forwarded this on to her, hope you don't mind, but she is really interested in the history of the Bath Springs... If you have more pics, I know she would love to see them...Thanks for posting...

What a fantastic photo, I'm the current landlady and love seeing these photos :)

Graham. The reason I put the question is, there was a Baths Spring pub, on School Lane, near to the Wigan Little Theatre. My friend's parents' were the licensees, in the forties, and fifties.

What a great photo. No health and safety here, all you needed was a bit of on the job training from Mum. Kids these days are wrapped in cotton wool, get back to basics.

Past a few hours in there in the 60s as I only lived on Rose Hill I remember both the ladies in the photo but not Graham, we played round the board darts at that time I've only been round the board in 7 darts twice and that place was one of them, (it's something you never forget)

Nice one Graham of you and your mum, who sadly passed away last year. As in this photo, she always took pride in her hair, and a smile.
