I once had a telephone argument with the M.D. of Fiat Marine. He told me to **** off.I went to a solicitor and it cost him £2000.
Did he speak Italian.
I was once told by an Italian client, who had a vey animated telephone conversation (in Italian) in my office with a supplier over in Milan, during which he must have used the "f" word a couple of dozen times , that there is no equivalent word in Italian that has the same effect. I'm sure we found one in our Latin lessons once at the Grammar School, but that might have just been schoolboy humour, or bad translation.
His name was Radjechowski and he had an Aussie accent.
Dave. Such names will soon be, nearly as common as Smith.
I would think that the f word would be in very frequent use from anyone who ran any Italian built car in the seventies, especially in our climate.
Fiat = Fix it all the time ! Still a great looking car though and engines were quick but thirsty.
