Photograph courtesy of Joyce Dennis. Vine Inn on the corner of Caroline Street and Chapel Street, opposite St Thomas' Church. The Church Inn was on the other corner. Part of the School wall and railings can be seen behind the two figures. Probably taken around 1950(?).

Have just put a one and a half pence brass token relating to Vine Inn, Caroline St, Wigan, on ebay; what 1and1/2 pence would have bought I've no idea. Perhaps some ebayer can tell me - look at coins, tokens, category on ebay for a look.
