Derek, did you go to All Saints late 50's
Harry, Lovely to hear from you again. Pic. waiting in Grammar School yard prior to St Georges Day Parade. St James's later formed a drum band which was the forerunner for many others in the district. remember me playing your uncles dance band drums when you played double bass. funnily enough that's when I fell in love with saxophones.
pberry. I did go to All Saints, left in December 1957 sorry I don't recall your name or whether Male/Female. HB above also at All saints - same class. Look forward to hearing more.
Hi Derek, I thought there may have been a connection with seeing HB initials. I am Pat Rimmer, have lived in Oz for 45 years. Are you still in Wigan? If you look on Album, then schools, All Saints, there's a photo of a girls' reunion, you would know a lot of them. Great to connect with you.
Pats photo of the girls from All Saints is on page two Derek, just in case you haven't seen it yet,and as they say ,not a saint amongst them.I wish I'd been a fly on the wall THAT night.I recognize a few of the lads from Poolstock, are still in touch with any of them? My uncle Norman who had the band died several years,he got to be 90 so he didn't do toooo bad.
Hi Pat, talk about a blast from the past. yes I am still in Wigan, Shevington to be more precise.looked at the reunion photo, recognise most of the names Yourself of course, Pauleen Buckley, Edna Winstanley, Enid Kenyon and Barbara Jameson. have you come home for good? HB is of course Harry.
It sure is a small world Derek. Am in Australia, live on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Can't believe where the years have gone. Good to have nice memories of our younger days, they were happy times. We have two sons and 5 g/children.
Chat to Harry quite a bit on WW, Communication, People and then the Wallgate thread. I think I once asked Harry had he kept in touch with you. Pauline and Rita have both been here for a visit and I keep in touch with them.
Cheers Derek, great to be in touch.
