hi gladys, i got my engagement ring from same shop in 1970 it was a solitaire 18 carat gold it cost about £25 not too cheap then as my wedding ring is 22 carat was £22 in 1971 i got that from stonefields in the makinsons arcade ,my wedding ring is still on my finger but alas i lost my engagement ring in the eighties think it was summat do with my daughter keep wanting to wear it and me keep taking it off as it was feeling a bit tight and leaving it lying around sadly its gone my hubby bought me a new one and i love it but i want my first engagement ring back ,i know its not possible and i do yearn for it hummmmmmmm x
