Brillant group, if you want to see some of these lads and others from groups of the same era, eg: The Sportsmen, Billy Barker and the Envoys, plus other groups stiil performing get yourselves down to The Standish Unity Club every other Thursday 8-0 pm from tonight 5th April onwards, £1 on the door, cant be beaten.
I remember this band in and around Wigan in the late 70s, it was watching Pokie that I realised I wanted to do that,I remember that they had a reily tight Bass and drum section, so it is thanks to them that I made a good living out of music in S Africa.Great to see they are still together.
Roy - you didn't mention Lankykats... I have now! Meet the 1st - 3rd and sometimes 5th Thursday's of the month... Yeh yeh yehhh...

Hi George, it,s in Cross Street on the left opposite and further down than the Library, turn down the side of the Standish Centre(the large building that contains shops and showrooms).
Is that Jeff shepherd, 2nd from the rt.? I also remember the guy in the middle from another band from way back in the 60's

Eric Lawrenson, Michael (Mitch) Mitchinson, Colin Ashton, Roy Davies and Gary Hughes. You mention 'the guy in the middle' Colin Ashton, Colin and Mitch were together for a great number of years as 'The Two Of Us'

What a group I remember them doing a medley including John Miles music and Tavaris dont take away the music, also David Bowies a Space Odacea and American Trilogy. FANTASTIC.
They were the best band around in the late 70s early 80s barr none. were are you now?
