Caroline, the Mrs Maloney in this picture was a teacher at St Williams. Sure looks like her anyway?
She taught me and your Angela, we were in the same class.
The ladies in the picture are St Williams mothers
Bessie France was my Grandmother (d 1989), her sister, Nellie Moore was my Great Aunt, both lived in Belle Green Lane most of their lives opposite Smiths dairy and the Belle Green Pub. Their other sister in the photo was Maggie Finney who lived in one of the streets opposite St Williams. Their maiden name was McManus. They all originated from Harrington in Cumbria before coming to live in Ince when my Great Grandfather John McManus moved down to Wigan to work at "Top Place", the Wigan Coal and Iron Works around 1906. Nice to see a photo of them all together, but sadly none of them are with us any longer. All sadly missed.
Recognised my nan Veronica Horrocks straight away great pick of a happy day for them.
