Not sure when this photo was taken but my Grandad Morris (Richard Morris)is in the centre of the photo with the cup. He was the Chief Superintendant of the Hindley Division. Their hut was in Bridgewater St, Hindley. My Grandad had many cups and medals for his service in St John's Ambulance, he died in 1945 so this photo is prior to then.

The trophy in the middle is still used today I recognise it as I have had it on my fireplace two years in a row for recognition of service to st john and I can't belive there is a photograph of it in this picture.

Mark, it's really nice to know this trophy is still around, my grandfather was in the St John's Ambulance for many many years, it was a large part of his life, I have been trying to obtain his records from them but up to now I haven't had a reply, it's a wonderful organistation, keep up the good work.

Is there any chance that I could have a copy of this picture as we are currently using old photographs to show outside members of the public what our past history is of area within st john.
