These two 1970 Leyland Panthers are seen on the bus parking ground that was in Station Road. It was being used as a temporary bus station as the roads in the town centre were closed due to the visit of HM The Queen and HRH Prince Philip in June 1977. This was, of course, her Siver Jubilee year.

My wife & myself were invited to the Queens Garden Party at Longford Hall Stretford that year..Remember it well..
