I remember your Dad Susan a good chap and stalwart trade unionist.I can also name the other lads on the banner ropes,Ken Charles on the left and Bill Disley and Jack Roscoe at the back,I wonder how many survive? Incidentally Laurence Isherwood painted the Banner

Bill diisley was one of my dad's life long friends, a good man .

Susan, know its been a long time since your post on this but hope very much you pick this up. Remeber yoiur dad - you bet! He was my cousin, Auntie Nellie was my favourite anuntie. I lived with them for a few weeks one summer about 1955/56 in Beech Grove. Our Uncle Bob was a shop steward for the ETU and inspearble from my dad. Would love to hear from you and catch up with soem family ties.

Hello Susan, I dont think we have ever met, but I first met your dad Bill when I joined the ETU on 10/12/ 1954. I worked with him on a number of sites from then through the 60s 70s and early 80s. I always found Bill and a number of others the on the photo completely dependable and always proud to call the my workmaes. Wondefull memories.
