Brenda did your uncle have a brother called Peter.

My husbands great grandparents were Joseph and Bridget Mcguire their son Peter was his grandfather.

My husband Peter can rember William and was told of Thomas but not minnie,Did William Marry Thomas widow.

Peter Mcguire was married to Susannah Mahoney they had six children,Caherine was my husbands mum.

The six kids names were John, Peter,Margaret,Catherine,Eileen and Doreen.

Joseph and Bridgets kids were born in Wigan,He wasnt sure if it was the generation before them who had come from Ireland didnt know it was Mayo.

i was told that 3 or 4 of bridget and joseph kids was born in irelan

We have Peters birth cirt he was born in Victoria St Wigan,he was born 1886 he was older then the lads but dont know if Mary(minnie) was older then him. William was born 1889,Thomas 1895 not sure about mary.Would be glad of any info.

A lot of the family lived in Wallgate.b

marie your husbands not got a photo of his grandad peter what i could look at as he it looks like my dad was his mums cousin my dads name was william but they called him billy

Dont have any photos but Peter can remember your Grandad,both your grandads would go out and drink together in a pub called long pole they had their own corner.Yes your dad and Catherine(Kitt) would have been first Cousins you and Peter 2nd. Peter as 2 sister and a brother who died a few years ago.We do have a photo of his mum try to find it.

marie Bridget and Joseph lived in canal st when my dad lived with them when his mam died but the eldest lad died when he was a few months old dad had 2 sisters and 2 brohters names joseph who died mary bridget william [my dad] and thomas my son is trying to do the mcguire family tree my son said do you live in wigan

my grandad died in1961 and my dad in 1990 so pleased to know i have some more relations do you live in wigan

My daughter and nephew have been doing the family tree, always hade trouble with Mcguires,got Peters birth and marriage cert,could never find them on elect roll even though My husband knew were they lived.He knows all the info on his family. it makes sence that couldnt find marriage cert of Joseph and Bridget If they married in Ireland.We live in Scholes.

Brenda have you looked at the cemetery index on ww, so many young Mcguires died just in the wallgate area,Do you think the children of Josephs that died could have been born in Ireland.Are you or any of your family on facebook.Theres a photo of My huband and his brother and sisters.
