William Heyes War grave

just thought I would let you look at the above ,a very good indication how well the graves of the fallen are looked after.
Billy Heyes came from Aspull where his name is also on the war memorial there.
Interestingly for any war historians he was killed some months before any records show that the British forces were in the vicinity of Monte Cassino where he was killed.
The cemetery is in a very quite part of the town below the Monastery which was then being used by the German army as a regional commmand headquarters which was heavily defended resulting in much loss of life.

i was surprised when i saw the photos of my dads grave its really good how they are looked after
