Indeed I am pleased to see these pics - and would quite like copies, please. This tablet still exists - in the cellar of the present church.

The inscription on his grave in Derbyshire reads:
In loving memory of / Charles Septimus SMITH / Curate of Lower Ince Wigan / born Feby 13th 1851 / died at Lower Ince Jany 23rd 1892 / That God in all things may be glorified. 1 Pet IV. II.
