they must have made a quick stop for this photo because when the pubs shut these men went into the labour club.
The hose seen in the background was Ainscough St. it was 4 houses in the row and was at a right angle to the next row which was on the road, the row I used to live in.
What is the date of this photo and have you any names -some look familiar-

See the flags hanging out of old Mr &Mrs Silcocks window-it must either have been VE time or Coronation.
