Felt that I just had to use this unique photo to pay tribute to Ian McNeill. I think it sums up his enthusiasm for his job at Wigan Athletic and also what Latics have been all about over the years; - many "true blues" mucking in with loyal support, whether in good times or bad.
A sincere thank you for some memorable times.

I suspect all worthwhile if Wigan won against Portsmouth.

Ian McNeill played in over forty games for The Latic's visitors, this coming Saturday, Southend United. I met him just once, and found him to be a pleasant and receptive sort of person.

I was talking to him at a youth game and he was telling me that an old guy, who regularly walked his dog around the pitch during the day, when the groundsman was working there. Said to him "do you know Ive measured the height of the goals at the Town end and they are 3" shorter in the middle than they are at the sides" Ian said, I told him to keep his %$&*£!*)£ mouth shut...
