This is a photo of the 1932 touring team. Only one Wigan player was included, but he was the team captain - Jim Sullivan.

I have an immaculate leather bound scrap book of this tour containing many press cuttings - it was put together by Tom Brown (with wife Mary Brown had Park Hotel) - Tom was supposed to be a guest on tour but he acted as a scout (much to the disgust of the Aussies!) - he signed Hector Gee and one other I think ...will have to dig the book out to check - great reading!

Thank you Scholes Malc, for the website reference - visited and enjoyed it very much. Tom Brown I "met" once - back in the late 1950's I was with a group of Wigan Art students in the Park Hotel when Tom, quite unexpectedly, announced to all and sundry that he was the person responsible for bringing my father to Wigan from Wales, which was true. He'd signed my father accompanied by other Wigan Directors, Wilf Hodder and Tom Hesketh on their scouting trip to Llanelli in 1938. I'm ashamed to say it was lost on this callow youth at the time. Later I found out that my father's mother (who had exceptional culinary skills) made a "slap up meal" for them after the signing, something that Tom mentioned for years later whenever he saw my father.
