Wigan Album

This may be the Wigan team that played Barrow at Central Park on September 19th in 1936. Standing at the back, left to right, Jack Morley, Harry Banfield, Gordon Innes, Harold Edwards, Joe Golby, Trevor Thomas, Francis Gregory and Gwyn Davies.
Sitting, left to right, George Newey, Alf Ellaby, Jim Sullivan, George Bennett, Hector Gee, at the very front is I believe Sharrocks (he only ever played 5 times for Wigan) and Charlie Seeling. Wigan won 29 - 7.

harold edwards is my uncle on the photo;would you have any information about his family,last lived in bradford if you have it would be appreciated.

I personally do not have the information you want but I believe someone I have been in contact with may be able to give you a little more information. He's Martin Whitcombe whose father was the famous Rugby League player Frank Whitcombe.
