T. Whittaker played 1903 to 1914, appearing 238 times for first team.

Correction - Tom Whittaker, who played Prop Forward, Hooker and Loose Forward, joined the Wigan club in 1903 and played his final season in 1914-15. Appearing 291 times for the first team, scoring 22 tries, according to Bilko's excellent "Cherry and White" website.
Tom was my grandmother's elder brother. She always told me her brother played football in England (my grandmother emigrated to Canada in 1920) but I never realized she meant professionally until I started doing my family tree! I am so happy to see a young "Our Tom" photo.
