This team was reported to be one of the best young amateur teams of all time.This photo was taken in 1947 when they were the under 17's.
They later qualified for the first round proper of the Challenge cup and played Hunslet at Central Park.
My uncle Frank is on the back row,second player in from the right.His cousin Derek Campbell is the seated player front left.

Yes,this indeed was a great young team,we were all palsand went on holiday together. I think you will find that this is not the team that took on Hunslet in the challenge cup,It was a later team of which my dad was the captain.!1949 not 1947.
