Can't make out Cliff Fleming unless he is front row 1st lt but I think Terry Dunn and Jack Brennan are there on the front row. They went on to be a good half back pair at Salford. There weren't many better as a pair at that time.

It seems rather apt that you cannot see a photo Because when you look up PETER BRADY on the internet. the information you get back was that he was the INVISIBLE MAN

I'm not that old Bill! Its not Cliff Fleming extreme left his name is Bill Foden. Terry Dunn third from left front row and Jackie Brennan extreme right. The guy third from right back row did a couple of seasons at Wigan. Any one recognise him?

lol, well he was certainly invisible last night. It showed up as a small long empty oblong for a while!!!

Is that Roy Thornley back row fourth from the right? It sure looks like him? Did he sign for Huddersfield later?

Roy Thornley was my Granddad, he later signed for huddersfield and was given the number 14 as it was deemed unlucky to wear 13. He and his best friend Norman Cherrington were the best man at each others weddings. He married my grandma called Milldred and they settled in swinley. How can i get a copy of this as my grandma has no pictures of granddad in his playing days and the ones that were given to the fox and goose were eventually took down and thrown. This would make a cracking christmas present... and oohh he could drink. The millstone was his second home

I'm 100% certain that is Terry Dunn, Gary.
However, I stand corrected if I'm wrong.

It's nearly my bed time - so I shall finish this comment off tomorrow.
What a surprise - I was lazily googling and put in "Jackie Brennan and Blackpool" - and up comes the photo. My brother Stan Davies is back row, first on left.
I was one of the 20,000 at Bloomfield Road when we lost to Leigh.
The only player I did not instantly recognise in the photo was Grundy - I shall name all of them tomorrow. It was my era and my team.

Billy Foden, centre Ron Ryder - played for Great Britain RL, Terry Dunn, team hero Jimmy Walsh, Lionel Emmett - played for Wales RL, hooker Jim Munday, Jackie Brennan.

Manager standing left was Mr. Abram I believe. Don't know the physio.
One regular forward at that time and not on the photo was Jim Collier [brother and smaller version of Frank].

My brother Stan signed as a lad - for £200, big money then, for Oldham but never made first team. Kicked 86 goals in one season for Boro.
Stan hasn't made it through unfortunately [died 2013 - with alzheimer's].

This is the first time I have come across this website. I am an "anorak" of those early Boro years. I may have some Wigan relevant photos in my old scrap book. I did get permission some years ago from the Blackpool Gazette editor to upload Gazette material for RL forums. I shall have a look at my old papers and see what I have. I know I have at least one photo of Kia Bose [in Boro gear] and possibly [in fact probably] other Wiganers too.

I may be mistaken but the gentleman in the black track suit extreme left, isn't that Syd Abram another Wiganer and the first player to score a try at a Wembley Rugby League Cup Final in 1929 for the winning side Wigan against Dewsbury? Born in Hindley and died there in 1988 aged 81.

I'm trying to gather more information on his career and photos where possible. Had his best season at saints.

Little did he know his grandson was a wire!
