There is one memory, regarding the referee and a book on "Fly Fishing" - Maybe the younger readers will not understand this.

Yes J R Hartley I wonder if it was the same man who wrote the book on fishing.

Sorry Mick, I was just doing a collective leg pull.
J R Hartley was a figment of the advertising mans imagination. In about 1983 Yellow Pages ran a series of ads depicting JRH trying to find a copy of his book. In 1991 a book of this title was published and immediately sold out! The book also ran to many reprints.
