i think the player on the right of the middle row is derek gibson?,the player on the left front row looks like dennis ramsdale who went on to play for wigan.the teacher is definately mr jameson,i remember him because he used to call me vinegar man!,i believe he used to play for orrell ru and was a very good teacher.

The team as far as I remember,Top Row: Mr Jameson,Glyn Richardson,Colin Nicholson,Kevin Heyes,Len Chadwick,Fred Hough,Dennis Cunningham, and I think,Nat Sharples.
Middle Row: Dave Whittle, Keith Gore, Harry Farrimond, Mike Winstanley, Derek Gibson
Bottom Row: Brian Ramsdale (not Dennis!,I think!) Joey Heaton, Eric Wilson. Sadly as well as Len, Dennis Cunningham is also no longer with us. Thanks for photos Dave, memories are flooding back.

We had a small school but we had a great school, rugby was just a part of life at school but it taught us so much!
I was only 12 on the photo and only 5 short years later I did sign for Wigan, those early years though and the lessons learned were not forgotten. What a guy Frank Jameson was as a teacher and he was always the positive teacher who could get the best from all his pupils by giving them encouragement and confidence with a fair dose of discipline, remember guys he had a "slipper" and waved it too!
