Ashton town 2nd team about 1963, taken at grapenhall f c.names back rowe L to R,keath fowler,Dave turner,Len higinbotham,? Briancunliff Keath darbisher, Peter hitchen[mybrother]front row john Aspbury, Austin wright,woodward,? Eddy hankin, Harry wood, hope the names are o/k it was a long time ago.

AShton town about 1963, taken at grappenhall. names back row left to right, keath fowler,Dave turner,Len, higinbothem,? keath darbisher, Brian cunnliff, Peter hitchen[my brother] front row,John aspry, Austin wright, Woodward, ? Eddy hankin, Harry wood, hope all the names are correct it was a long time back.

Bloke of Wood, bottom right, boy did he love himself, notice his hair there? not one bit out of place, it stayed like that throughout the game, LOL.
I notice Raymond Woodward there too, 3rd from left at the bottom, I worked with Raymond at Pimbletts farm, he died far too young

Keith Derbyshire was my brother he died in August 1973, Ashton Town had a memorial match for him. He loved his footy, fishing and supported Wigan Rugby. Lovely to see this photo!!!!

Keith Derbyshire was my dad.He died when i was 7 years old.I am delighted to find this photograph and would love to see anymore if anyone has any.He looked so handsome and is greatly missed. I would of loved it if he could have met his grankids.

Isn't that Kenny Taberner on the front row. One of the best I ever played alongside
