A very lovely lady from my childhood. Mrs Kehoe, it shames me to say I don't know her christian name, to me she was either Mrs Kehoe... or Mother Kehoe.

It does seem that I am posting more Kehoes than Millers in this section recently! But as I said before, they were part of my growing up.

Was her name Nellie or Ellen/Helen?

I heard you the first time! ;-)

I have no idea to be honest, I will ask my Aunt Et, she did live on Lily Lane with Mrs Kehoe for a time.

Christine, I can remember her as a very lovely lady, and I use the term lady wisly. Maybe it is the passage of years that may be fooling me.. but I never knew her to get angry or annoyed at anyone.

this was my grandmother Mary Helen Kehoe (1896-1974) she was born in Hindley and lived most of her life at 164 Lily Lane, Platt Bridge. I remember Father Kennedy of Holy Family always called her a saint and also Cardinal Heenan coming to the house to bless it.She was indeed lovely and a brilliant cook!this is the only picture of her i have ever had so thanks for posting it!
