think this chap was brother to Elizabeth fowles who lived with my granny in Frederick st in lower ince in the 60's. she had worked 'in service' on wigan lane for all of her life and moved to Frederick street when she retired. I know that she DEFINITELY belonged to the hairdresser family of fowles from Darlington street. she also looks very like those people. she had a son and grandchildren, they used to come to my granny's to visit her. we called her 'granma fowles.
