Gerard, I recognize your Mam and Dad and I think Mr Moore who lived next door but one from you. I recognize some other faces but can't put names to them. Funny my Dad wasn't on that, he was in there enough.

I think I got it wrong, the one stood wearing a striped jumper and holding a drink, isn't Mr Moore, it's Mr Duffy out of Hawthorne.

Gerard, "Thank you ". Yes, I am Janet from the first house, 'Jimmy's' daughter. The young guy with the dark hair, is that your Tommy? I kept looking at him, knowing I knew the face, but again, couldn't put a name to it.

Comment by: Gerard Hilton on 24th August 2008 at 22:36

Thanks for the pic, Gerard, I recognise your dad now and also Bill Duffy, Have you seen the pic of the Stone's soccer team? It is on somewhere, with Fred Dillon and Harold Cunliffe, Gordon Heyes etc. My book on Stones is on in "Stuff" if you havent already seen it.

Comment by: Gerard Hilton on 25th August 2008 at 12:22

Fred , I have read both your books, Park & Parkside, very interesting & our family do get a mention,

Gerard, you said I lived in the last house, I said the first. I was only 4 when we moved in so don't remember much, but was my house the last house on Leyland Green Rd to be built?

Comment by: Gerard Hilton on 25th August 2008 at 18:59

Yes Janet, it was the last & the last one on the estate, Where about are you in the states?

Comment by: janet on 25th August 2008 at 21:23

Gerard, I had no idea it was the last house, I know we were all thrilled with it. My husband is from Boston Mass, but we have lived in Florida for the past 27yrs. I'd still rather be in England, for all it's problems.

The lady standing to the right at the back and the gentleman to her left with tie and light coloured coat are Mr & Mrs Davies of 6 Cedar Grove.
