DK, how come all these pics were taken in a back yard and many of them are unknown?

Most of the pictures that I've posted were taken before my time and although I've a few faint memories of some of them there are a lot of people that I just don't know who are probably relatives and friends. I've no one left to ask about these things and was hoping someone may recognise someone but as they were taken about 1948 - 1958 I reckon it's probably too long ago now. I've submitted them because they are a record of clothes and hair styles and people of the era and, what I miss, the backyard. I'd really like to know who they all are.
