The Prince of Wales, an Englishman, meets Jim Sullivan, the King of Rugby League, a Welshman, at Central Park, Wigan in November 1932. The Prince was making a two day tour of Lancashire as Patron of the National Council of Social Services and Jim was referee at a match between local unemployed youths played at Central Park.

My Dad was at this game. He said the Prince of Wales kicked off the match.

The Prince of Wales had the honour of kicking the ball off and said he would soon return to kick more balls off .
