My rhyme in support of Veronica's picture of her late father.

William Catterall.

See the boy in camera's glare
His boots like polished steel
He played his part and did as told
But thought of teatime meal.

He stood atop the mellowed chair
One hand on burnished rail
His boyish charm did surely please
No more of Baby's wail.

That noble pose is as he chose
Some time for artist's ploy
It has that look which said "I'm here!"
His mother's pride and joy.

He does look like him Theresa- he reminds me of Billy Blunt in the Milly-Molly-Mandy Books! Thanks Philip you've hit the nail on the head!

That's lovely, Philip! I have a photo of my brother, (19 years my senior), dressed like that. You're right about Billy Blunt, Veronica, (From Little-Friend-Irene)!
