My parents on their 1928 Buckley (Brampton ) Tandem with Fathers' Brother & Wife.Parents had cycled from Pemberton to Newport Pagnell the day before (154 miles) for the August bank holiday weekend.Continued afterwards toNorfolk,Suffolk,Essex & back to Pemberton the following weekend.(468 miles in total) No wonder my Son loves his cycling now (Triathlons and Downhill mountain bike races)!!

A great photo Barrie, although I must admit the 150 miles that you mention in your story, strengthens my belief that I've lost all capability of 'extended cycling'; the mileage being likened to The Topshop-Simms Road Inn run being accomplished 154 times ... My, Oh, My!, and so my British Storm Eagle now seems destined for the Penny Ad's. The team did extremely well, and I hope your son has managed a few victories of his own.
