Quiz Question. Where was Alliance Street ???

Tom, it was the first street on the left off Orchard Street at the back of Alliance Hall, which is now Wigan Little Theatre. (I had relatives live there).

Alliance Street is at the back of Wigan Little Theatre.

Thomas. I was once making reference to the Wigan Little Theatre, and I knew it, many years ago, as the Canada Picture House. Irene commented, if I am not mistaken, as it also being known as the Alliance Picture house, therefore it must have been named, due to its close proximity to the street.

Yes, and there used to be a pit there named the Alliance before that.
