I went to Whelley School with a Gordon Melling from Pyke Street, Whelley. Any relation?

EDDIE, give me a ring please on 01257 422410, Alf's mate. Best around 6-30/7-00 any night.
Any relation to the two Melling families of Spring View?. One of the families were farmers. They had Melling's Farm, It stretched between, Spring View, and Hindley. I believe the farm house is still in existence, and is a listed building. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Never discovered 'wiganworld' before as I have lived in Cheshire for many years. My mother, Louisa (deceased) married a William Melling but only briefly as he died in WW11 at a very young age. She later, after many years married my father, again many years passed until I (only child) was born. Don't know very much about William, only what I have heard from relatives but this could be the much older brother. Apparently his mother was called Sarah too, like my maternal grandmother. Interesting. d
Hi. Are these related to Thomas Melling 1884 and Edith Roper 1886
