Lafayette opened in Manchester in 1892 and Mrs Mayor is dressed in the late Victorian style, so it's probably one of the following:

1893 N. Farington Eckersley
1894 Daniel Dix
1895 Robert Layland
1896 Robert Richards
1897 Robert Richards
1898 Joseph Thomas Gee
1899 Joseph Thomas Gee
1900 Thomas Fyans
1901 Richard Edward Kellet
1902 Richard Johnson
1903 Charles Butler Holmes

It definitely isn't Daniel Dix and I don't think it's Richard Johnson

To help your process of elimination, he's not Joseph Thomas Gee either, my great grandfather
