Just look at all those happy face's and the women straight in drinking stout, I hope they enjoyed every single moment,just looks like for that day they grabbed life and ran with it.

What a happy looking group. Hope they had a great day out, I'm sure they deserved it

They would have looked forward to this trip for weeks, enjoyed every minute of it, and talked about it for days after. Nowadays overseas travel is commonplace and we consider half or full day local trips out as routine, but we don't seem to get a fraction of the simple pleasure from any of them that these people would have enjoyed

My holiday was a day trip to Southport, and the highlight was the steam train ride from Ince station.

Talking about going on trips,Do you remember going to Blackpool getting off at Central Station and then have your cases carried to your Hotel by local lads who had made thier own trollies .6d or 3d was the usual treat.I would like to see our 13/14 yr olds do that today would you, I think not.
