Outside my house in first ave Hindley early 50s with my friend Lynne Jewell on the left. The car belonged to her mother Alice Jewell. Alice was one of the first women to join the Wigan police force.

A lovely person, Alice. She was a sergeant, when I served in the Wigan Borough Police, late 50s, early 60s.

I agree Albert, she was a lovely lady,a very genuine person. Alice and her daughter moved to Derby and she was promoted to inspector,her daughter Lynne died in 1970 aged 23years

Looks to be a mid 30's 2 door Ford 8 "y" model . The £100 car, Any colour, as long as it was Black was Henry Ford's sales pitch I had one in the mid fifties converted into a van
