My Uncle Sam, far right, with two of his chums. Taken between 1919,to the early 1920s, in Mesopotamia. At the time he lived in Raven Street, Higher Ince, Wigan.

I apologize. I believe his regiment was the R.A.S C., and not the R.A.O.C. He was involved in transport.

From the uniform, they were serving in the Middle East, Albert. My own father,who served in the RAF in 1939-45 was deployed to North Africa to clear up after Monty. I have got pics of him in khaki!
