I do remember going to Pemberton Salvation army, when i was very young but not clearly. It was across from the White Swan I think.

The fact that you describe the location as across from the White Swan seems to indicate that the abstinence from intoxicating drink isn't going too well, Allan :)
I used to go there it was upstairs over stantons shop. it is now mamma mia charcoal grill. those where the days.

It is good to see this pledge Allan. I have one from the Wigan Corps, but can't find it at the moment.Tom Penk and family were from Pemberton I think.

The drink part was broken when i was in my early teens,so I wasn't very good at the abstinence part.
