Fisher's Yard was more or less where the car park for Speedy Hire tool hire is now - between the junctions of Wallgate with Queen St and Caroline St.

Seems he loved his cat too.
Aye folks would enjoy sitting on their doorstep and passing the time of day, sometimes with a wireless blasting out from the parlour, folks are happen too busy watching daytime TV these days to sit on their steps.
