Another photo of customers seated at the Buffet end of the Wellfield Hotel. The person on the left is Hesketh, a painter and decorator and a member I believe of the well known Hesketh Decorating company. If I hazard a guess at his first name perhaps it was Norman but I'm not sure. I believe he was a relative, perhaps a grandson, of the Hesketh who played for Wigan RL in the 1920's but again I can't be 100% sure.

Andrew, we had a lot of singers perform at the Wellfield, sadly Elvis wasn't one of them!
