I think that this must have been in the Summer of 1974.The Ashton and German scouts had spent 10 days at Loch Goilhead and the last 4 days in Ashton. This is where we waved them off for the last time at Wigan North Western.
Out of the Ashton lads I can see Ian Aitken,Mick Pilling and Kevin McGarry but can`t remember any of the German scouts names.
Perhaps if Roland Graf still visits this site he could put a few names to faces
Yes that is Ian Aitken with the helmet and me next to him and I think Tony Cahill (cadge)is peeping his head through behind me. Me and Ian must have gone on my old Triumph 500

Roland, is Manfred the lad on the crutches ?
I could never remember his name but I remember him breaking his leg up in Scotland.
