Cyril Dandy (on the right) and Wallis Ormesher, the latter part of the Dalton Ormesher family. I remember Cyril as a delivery man for Atherton's butchers in Up Holland, a rather portly, but very jovial, man in the 1950s. He was a friend of my parents from way back I believe. I hope this is the right Cyril Dandy.

Yep, that's my dad - Cyril on the right. This picture was taken on his 18th birthday - he is 90 years old now. He rescued Wallis from drowning in the Blue Pit, near to Parbold Hill. I believe this happened after their demon from the Navy. Sadly Wallis died aged 68 and is buried in one of the churchyard near to Parbold.
