The lady is John's wife Martha Ellen (Speakman), known affectionately as "Auntie Nellie". She ran the pub for a while after John (always called Jack my mum said)iypjr died in 1942.

that was my auntie nellie she also had the little cotage at the side were she sat out side and i use to do her shoping my grandad was john speakman i dont know if she was is sister are my grand mothers sister but heyes rings a bell ill try and find out
