My Great Uncle John Halligan and directly behind the Mayor on the left is one of his daughters', Kathleen Halligan. I do not know the date of the picture, only that it was taken before July 1, 1976 (John died on this date at the age of 90) on a "Walking Day".
My goodness I knew this old gentleman! I knew Kathleen but particularly Beesy (Briget)who helped my Dad (Bill Martland) on his market stall selling fruit and veg on Friday,s. We (my sister and I would take Beesy home and have a chat with John he always had a twinkle in his eye! Beesy and Kathleen were wonderful ladies, seeing this brought back happy memories. Thanks for posting
