This photograph is of my Great Grandad William Finch, Grandma Jane Finch (nee Hilton) and his grandchildren taken outside 11 Alexandra Street, Newtown in 1918.

The little girl in front is Evelyn Bennett, baby William Finch is on his knee and the surname of the boy and girl on the right is Fazakerly.

Sorry, the 1918 date is incorrect. The correct date is 1938

This is so strange but i winder if we are related. My dad's mum used to live in Alexandra street, Newtown, Wigan and her name was Doris Finch. Her husband was called James but he died before she moved to that street. She had one son (my dad) whose name was Brian Finch. He died about four years ago now.

Hay Caroline McCann, we may well be related. My granddad had a cousin called Doris Finch, and I have a picture of her which I will upload here soon.

I have actually lived in this house for the last 30 yrs. Wonderful photo.

Dave Johnson, several generations of my family owned that house. I have fond memories of staying over when visiting my cousins. I still sometimes walk around the St Marks school area when I visit, I feel at home there.
