Don't know the chap having a snooze in the background. Could have been taken at Great Acre in Scholes sometime in 1949. Sheila's mum was Lilian Melling before she was married. I see Sheila regularly in Wigan and she lives in Whelley, although she was brought up in Springfield and attended St Andrew's School and Church.

hi liz yes thats me in the photograph with john my maiden name was matthews and i lived just of princes road with my parents and brother david and sister julie
