My Mam was an Aspey from Ince, but I don't think it's the same Aspeys.

Hi Irene, My Alice was born in Pemberton and then lived in Wallgate. There is another Alice Aspey that looks like an older version of my great grandma but I understand the 2 arent related.

No, we had no Alices as far as I know. Obviously a different Aspey family.

Comment by: Joan Davies nee Aspey on 27th October 2014 at 22:40

Hi all,
I am currently seeking history regarding our family tree, mainly information of my mothers side Olive Aspey who was married to George Aspey, my father, her birth certificate was Thomas but was always known as Olive Baxter as her birth father was unknown and we believe she was adopted by the Baxter Family when my grandmother married Harry. If anyone has any information please don't hesitate to contact me. Thankyou Joan.

Hi Joan, I am doing the family tree for my mums side Seal/Aspey. Olives sister is my great great grandmothers sister-in-law.. My ggm was Alice Aspey, sister to George.

I have Aspeys in my family, my paternal grnadmother was Mary Ann, he father was Thomas and her mother was Alice nee Baron. Came from Shevington 1800s. From what I can gather all Aspeys in the Wigan area came from the same family originally.
